Television Coverage

On July 4, 2010, While we were in a little town called Pagnano, northeast of Treviso, we turned on the TV at the B&B where Linda and I were staying and switched it over to the national station Rai 1. And what was on? Live coverage, on the national television network no less, of the Maratona dles Dolomites road ride we've talked about before. I was dumbfounded. These Gran Fondos are a big deal--as is cycling in general. It's like NBC carrying live coverage of Levi Lepheimer's Gran Fondo in October, or CBS carrying live coverage of the Sierra Century. Just incredible.
