04/22/2026 Day 16 Last Day Riding in New Zealand--Kurow to Oamaru

No ride 4/19 while in Wanaka and no ride 4/20.  I jumped in the van for the drive from Wanaka to Kurow.  It was just too damned cold.

For NZ$15.00 (less than US$8.00), it would have been a worthwhile hour or two if we'd had time.

Didn't expereince any earthquakes.  Still waiting for that "every 10 years on average" 7+ earthquake. 

Lots of cattle--dairy and eatin'--cattle and sheep--all over NZ countryside.  This is a very, very small sample. 

Quiet road to Oamaru.  Quiet roads are pretty rare in NZ, at least in the areas we traveled.
